A Moment of Calm

For a moment of calm, a glimpse of the water lilies in Impressionist Claude Monet's garden pond. He painted them many times, fascinated by the play of light, sky, and water. Is the pond more sky than water, as we gaze at it? We know it's liquid, and we see the lilies floating on top, but do they appear to float in air?
