One last "Kiss," from Constantin Brancusi. In this Modern sculpture any lover can see herself or himself, so I like it as a place to end up. And au fin, isn't the private moment and warm embrace central? Brancusi made other versions of this sculpture, but this is the Marna stone original in the Craiova Art Museum in Romania. The artist came from a peasant family in that country. In 1903 he desperately wanted to go to Paris, where the art world was exploding. Having no money, he walked, 1,162 miles from Bucharest to Paris, earning his keep along the way. I hope you’ve enjoyed The Art of Love. Happy Valentine's Day!

Glad to hear you enjoyed it, Peter. I did fit in your Fragonard on the next to the last day!
