Strong Picture of a Strong Voice

Two great artists together: Roy De Carava photographs Harry Belafonte at Carnegie Hall, May 2, 1960. De Carava was a well-known chronicler of American singers and musicians, especially jazz and folk performers. Belafonte was at the Hall not only to give a live performance  but also to record it for a double album. Behind him are the Belafonte Folk Singers.
