About Eugene: Eugene is the author of three books, The 100-Year Secret (Lyons Press), The Captain of Battery Park (Addison-Wesley), and The Art of Fairy Tales (BookWise, Inc.). He has published numerous articles in newspapers and journals and on the web, including The Boston Globe, The Colby College Library Journal, and www.mit.edu. An Honors graduate in English of Harvard College, he has an M.A. in English Language and Literature and an M.B.A. from Boston University. Eugene is also the recipient of the Cambridge, MA branch of Rotary International's Teacher of the Year award (1996), the Thurgood Marshall Award of The Buckingham Browne & Nichols School (1997), and the Outstanding Teacher Award of The Winsor School, Boston, MA (2009).
